\nWe are looking for an Application Scientist (m\/f\/d) \u2013 Biopharma (molecular & cell biology) with a strong focus on Cell Line Development & Plate-based assays.
\nJoin our headquartes inFreiburg im Breisgau (Germany) if you are passionate about biotechnology and new instrumentation that bring more automation and efficiency into drug discovery and cell line development workflows to produce therapeutic proteins, gene and cell therapies. The ideal candidate is an analytical team player, who feels comfortable working on a matrix environment. The candidate brings experience in mammalian and microbial cell culture, and has a broad understanding of cell line development, cellular and immunoassays. You will become a power user of our automation technologies. This is a hands-on R&D position with great potential to shape the way biologic drugs are being developed!<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Work with our interdisciplinary R&D Team on the next generation products and protocols for cell line development and cellular and immunoassays
\nBecome an expert and power user of our latest technologies and upcoming products
\nProvide training and applications support to colleagues and customers
\nEstablish and validate cell line development and assay protocols on automated platforms
\nProactively investigate and resolve problems, identifying root cause and proposing process improvements
\nExecute experimental plans individually and with the team. Document, analyze, and present data to your team and customers from pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
\nStay up to date with new developments in the bioprocessing and drug discovery fields
\nCollaborate with our multidisciplinary teams including sales, marketing and field support to generate application content to showcase the functionality of our products<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Master\u2019s degree or PhD in the field of molecular biology\/medicine, cell biology, biotechnology or similar with at least 2 years of research lab experience in biotechnology, cell biology, biochemistry or similar field
\nProven experience in mammalian and microbial cell culture techniques and with immunoassays and cellular assays
\nExperience in assay development, assay optimization is highly desirable
\nCell line development, up-stream processing and\/or recombinant protein expression experience is a plus
\nGetting-Things-Done Mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
\nExcellent English communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
\nPassionate about technology and laboratory automation<\/p>\n
