Tech Tour Bio-based Industries 2025 will connect pioneering startups with world-leading investors this November.
On 13 November 2025, Wuppertal will host Tech Tour Bio-based Industries 2025, Europe’s premier investment event for the bioeconomy. This high-level gathering will spotlight 40 cutting-edge companies selected by a panel of 42 active investors.
These investors, who together have made more than 3,500 past investments worth over €169 billion, represent a powerful mix of 64% investment funds and 36% corporates. Among the most active are High-Tech Gründerfonds, Novo Nordisk, Mercia Asset Management, Rabobank, Mitsui & Co, Sofinnova Partners, Bayer, Demeter Partners, Bmp Ventures, Emerald Technology Ventures, and eCAPITAL.
The event will feature 100+ One2One meetings, enabling direct exchanges between founders and financiers. Six dedicated technology tracks will highlight the diversity of the sector:
- Bio-based chemicals, products & materials
- Biomanufacturing & biorefining, including AI and digital tools
- Waste valorisation & circular technologies
- Wood-based products and materials
- Agriculture, food & feed innovations
- Sustainable packaging
Beyond matchmaking, expert panels and showcases will provide insight into Europe’s thriving bioeconomy and Wuppertal’s role as a hub for sustainable industrial transformation.
Applications for startups remain open until 31 August 2025, with selected companies announced in early October. General registration is also open, with early bird discounts available until 13 September.
In addition, Tech Tour recently launched Tech Tour Resilient Ag 2026, taking place in Monheim (NRW) on 4–5 March 2026, focused on advancing resilient agriculture solutions and bringing together 30 selected companies and 60 seasoned investors.
Tech Tour Bio-based Industries 2025 is organised by Tech Tour, co-organised by the Bio-Based Industries Consortium, and hosted by Circular Valley. Together, they bring capital, science, and entrepreneurship into one room to accelerate Europe’s transition to a circular economy.
